Ok. What about us that don't believe in reincarnation?

if you don't believe then when you do go through this process it will surely be out of your control.

But to be honest it bothers me none. I find it unfortunate.

I think about it like a drunk person stumbling upon two people having sex in a car park and having not been seen, stops to watch... and ends up caught up the in heat of the moment. No one would say the drunk is necessarily responsible or knows whats going on for they are literally in a stupor. Though if they get to close they could get hurt... like being born to the wrong parents. Its a disservice to the people around us to let some people procreate in some circomsatances. or accidently be their child in those circumsatances through lustful ignorance or the power of uncontrollable fetishistic attractions.

As opposed to a person who consciously acknowledges the fact that by directing the desire during life towards those people bearing characteristics they would like to be embodied through they are able to awaken to the "truth of eternal life" and need not "reincarnate" or be born at all. They can literally choose what they wish to become. be that animal, man or god.

as for believing in this... it is a gift u can either accept or not, the giver is not affected by the giving but the receiver if humble and graceful enough has a lot to gain... or a lot to be suspicious of and lose.

trust in the feeling of consistency of the mind... it goes to sleep and wakes up, it is sometimes aware of it actions it is sometimes acting out of habit... it does not know why it wants the things it does, they are subtle programs built up over endless time that create our personality and our ultimate form.
all is mind... the body is a product of the interactions of mind with its objects.
