I thought anal sex usually resulted in no issue…

I mean, if your partner really enjoys it and all I understand wanting to please them but that rarely seems to be what it's about... it seems to be a bigger turn on for many dudes if their partner is not into it. I also understand the power politics of/or engaging in something verbotten but it seems there is always a really weird double-standard when it comes to this particular act -- be it catholic purity or homophobia, etc....

There is definitely some sort of weird conquering dynamic with a lot of dudes and anal sex. Like a girl has really given in to them or submitted or something. Which is nuts because it makes it sort of awkward for girls who actually like anal but aren't into submission or don't want to feel conquered.

Honestly, it'd be stupid to say that there isn't some sort of power-play dynamic with anal. Obviously there is. But you could say that about literally any sexual act. Of course, that power dynamic may be more pronounced with anal, and for lots of folks that's going to be part of the fun. But it's also a wholly different physical sensation, which is exciting in and of itself.

I've always had this theory that men who are into anal subconciously want their prostate stimulated. It's like how two women having sex will usually please each other by doing things they think would feel good on their own anatomy.
