ok, this is the first time I'm really blogging. But I can't stand when girls give mixed signals. I've been talking to this girl for sometime, nothing serious at all. Then she starts in with telling me that she's over with her boyfriend and how she needs sex on a day to day basis. Pretty strong signals right? Well, next thing she tells me is that she's been trying to set up her friend with someone. To make matters even more awkward she somehow invites her in the converation everytime we start talking. Now I'm pretty rusty on my mind reading ability so I can't tell what she's thinking. I can either A.) go with this original girl or B.) give up on her and seek out her friend. The downside of this is that I choose wrong and both girls lose interest (usually to ensure one another's feelings aren't hurt) and I'm by myself again. Anyone give me some insight about this would be great

Advice? Try thinking with your big head instead of your little head, and maybe listen to what she says without spending all your time wondering what you get out of the deal.

I think she is looking for sex, just not sex with you and her friend is doing bodyguard duty. That is why some chicks go out with their friends, safety in numbers. It's best to see if one of those two will seek you out if you can seem like you are just there to socialize and not hook up. It may help if you have friends of your own to talk to and hang out with, this being the internet I have to put the "if" in there.

You forgot a few potential options...

C) talk to her, honestly, and ask her what she wants
D) find a completely different girl whose signals are easier for you to read (I mean, come on, you can't be that into her if you're like "Oh well, maybe I'll just go after her best friend instead")
E) get a bunch of people together, including the girl and her friend, and all go out together and have a good time, and see which one you end up with at the end of the night
F) get the girl and her friend drunk off their asses and attempt to have a threesome
G) hookers and blow



Admittedly, some of these options may be better ideas than others.

She probably wouldn't be trying to hook you up with her friend if she were interested in you, but I guess people do weird things sometimes.

Like she doesn't invite you up to hers, but then when you're driving home you notice the bat-signal in the sky?

People can't communicate and be honest. Just keep pinning over someone you can't have and I'm absolutely one hundred percent sure things will work out in your favor.

Seriously, ta2, go for honesty, it's always a decent option. Might burn ya, might make things awkward, but it's always better than wrapping yerself around an axle. Though hookers and blow....

Maybe you should ask her if she wants to split a hooker with you.

Maybe there are no mixed signals. Maybe the transmitter (her) is good but the receiver (you) is mixed up.

Just frigging ask her out and make a move. If she says no, you've lost nothing and learned something. If she say yes, you've gained something and learned something. Either way you're better for it and no longer in limbo, which is the worst place to be.
