Restraints take too long. Kind of awkward. I'd much rather be restrained with hands rather than with ropes. wink

items around the house that can be used for restraints:
belt - make a loop that runs around the elbows with the sides running behind the person's back... see Body of Evidence for example
neckties/scarves
rope - don't go smaller than 1/4" and make several wraps not just one. Use a crosswrap to keep it tight (wind around wrists together, then around portion between wrists just wrapping the rope
sheets themselves - fold or turn into ropes by twisting
electrical tape reversed - tricky but good because it has some give to it... do not wind tight with this though, could cut circulation
even just a long sleeved shirt can be used... pull it over the person's head but leave the arms inside... pin the arms above with a hand so they can't slip them out.

note here too: only use a half hitch, or other easily releaseable knot. Last thing you want to be doing is trying to cut through something because it gets too tight or something happens.
another option is to wrap the restraint but not tie it off... instead have the person hold onto the loose end. Can be used as a safeword if person is gagged. They release the restraint as a signal that the scene is over.

Have fun kids wink

Being tied up... i have to say i am very interested in it, but there is too much sissy stuff out there. If you do something do it right.....

I want cold cast iron / stainless steel wall mounted shackles....

To be tied up is for the feeling of loss of control or handing over control to your partner. Thus why pussyfoot the whole deal with fuzzy handcuffs and silk sheets....

If you get hurt it is because you struggled.. and you will know better next time wont you?

Tieer not tieee. What are your favorite binding materials?
I vote for good old fashioned poly rope with panties and THIS tied for second

1" nylon tubular webbing, buy it at an outdoor/climbing store, you can tie a loop in one end, measure your...victim, and cut it so it wraps around once or twice and tie another loop in the other end, double these as slip knots/girth hitches and its a self supporting bondage system

Definately being dominated.

I find PVC tape is good, it's not rigid but hard to get out of. Handcuffs are ok but properly made shackles/bondage cuffs are much better, splitters are great too

No matter how one is subdued, it's very fun to switch it up between who is doing the restraining and who is being restrained. Just don't be too rough, I bruise easily.

Me tied up, her tied up, nobody tied up, are all nice in their own ways. I haven't tried both of us tied up and bound together, but I guess it would be fun as well. wink

And please, be careful with handcuffs. You can really get hurt if they cut into your wrists.

I'd like to second this. Steel handcuffs aren't a very safe option. I've now got nerve damage which has reduced the feeling in parts of my hands. Any time restrains are going to be more than symbolic then leather cuffs, and the like, will be your best bet.
