Thanks for the link. The first one is really interesting to me. I've listened to guys make comments about being terrified when gay men have hit on them, but I never thought about it from that particular angle before... Although I'm sure if you pointed out the similarity between that situation and what women deal with every day, a lot of men would just roll their eyes at you. That's "different" because being gay is "gross," and if a girl rejects their advances, she's just being a prudish bitch.

Luckily, when I've pointed this out to guys (the earliest I remember was at 16, so I've been doing it a while ) it was worked EVERY TIME. They're all kind of quiet for a second and then go: "Oh yeah...."

I was crew of a stage play at USC about 12 years ago and one of the cast was a handsome gay man. When he approached me as I sat in the stands after a rehearsal, he put his hands on my legs and started to flirt with me. I did feel uncomfortable and quickly stood up. I continued to talk to him and be polite however and he understood, throughout the production even. He was a cool dude, too bad I'm not gay because he would have been a catch, and to be honest I was rather flattered by his approach. At that point in my life a woman had never done that.

Never done what, politely declined your advances or come on to you?
It's fucking OBNOXIOUS. It's rude, agressive, annoying, and even threatening. It makes me hate walking down the street, and is one of the main reasons I often do so in a large men's hoodie with it pulled down over my face. It ruins my fucking walk and makes me want to punch people.
