Ok, I don't get it. Whether I message someone or they message me,
words have been exchanged. We'll go back and forth for a while,
sometimes even move on to IM. And then, NOTHING. This keeps
happening over and over and over again. If we've exchange emails
and/or have been IMing for a while, then I'm OBVIOUSLY interested!
Why does no one ever just say "Would you like to have coffee?" Is
no one able to follow through and just ask a girl out? Seriously!

Perhaps it is the guys you are talking to? I have no idea if they are all the same type or anything (or even if they are all guys). But there might be something like that.

Then I got nothing. I hate asking someone out, but I do it when I meet someone I want to go on a date with.

Don't give out your number.

The guy that asks for it, he's the guy more likely to call.

Why do we always have to bother with coffee? Why can't we just say, "Would you like to have sex with me?" That's my problem. I'm always having coffee with girls.

Absolute genius. I truly think a woman asking a man out to coffee or asking for a phone number is for one, a turn-on ( I think at least ) and two we do need to tear down the gender roles. And you all know when Dad's start staying at home, everyone will do it, and it will be the "cool thing" to turn the sexually oriented roles around.
