Both are about as rare as a unicorn that speaks three languages and knits... no offense to Smart girls... or pretty ones, though the latter probably wouldn't get it.

Disagree vehemently. Neither is binary or minimally quantified. Both are on a continuum and more subtle than the question implies. One is tremendously subjective, the other somewhat. I'll take an acceptable level of both please.

Well if we want to get really specific here both intelligence and beauty are abstract concepts and can't be quantified empirically with there being any real significance to the findings. Both are a matter of opinion despite all of the "valid" tests. Therefore my previous statement was accurate, along with your vehement disagreement to said statement, because we're all entitled to our own opinions. On a side note, I definitely enjoyed this exchange of ideas!
Physical appearance might get you noticed, but it doesn't have any staying power. A woman could be a supermodel, but if she doesn't have a lot going on upstairs, or has a really poor personality, it's an instant turnoff.
And I've been head-over-heels for women who are probably pretty "average" looking but have absolutely amazing personalities.
^this. A smart 8 is really a 10, and a dumb 8 is really a 6. Or maybe a 2, depending on the dumbitude.
HOWEVER... C'mon people. It isn't like there are only 5 beautiful and intelligent women running around, and the rest of us jerks have to settle for leftovers. They're everywhere. I find 'em all the time. People need to stop thinking in terms of not being able to have everything they want in a lover.
