I often wonder this, as upon telling my friends what my ex and I used to play when we used to do our thing, it seems I've got strange tastes. So, out of my own edification, I gotta ask: Do you listen to music, and if so what tends to be playing?

For the record, I first wooed my lady-friend with Ennio Morricone's "At The Movies", a collection of all of his finest film scores. Weird? Maybe. But she seemed to enjoy it.

actual answer: this one time, i threw on Yanqui U.X.O. and i couldn't really tell at the time if it was the gin or the music that did it, but things got epic pretty quick.

in later tests i confirmed that it was, in fact, the music.

Always with music, but usually because I've always got music playing so having sex without music would mean getting up and turning the music off. I like having sex to something quite with a solid rhythm like early Leonard Cohen or Mirah's album 'Advisory Committee.'

I typically play The Slackers whilst I fuck. If no one here has tried it, give it a shot. The best sex I've ever had has been to that band's amazing library. I think it's some sort of, I dunno, power up I guess.

Massive Attack, Portishead, Tricky, Deftones, Lords of Acid & alot of Armenian duduk music by artists like Djivan Gasparyan, Indian and other world stuff. some metal , but I have to be in the mood for it, generally preferring something with rhythm and/or groove, or something exotic.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever put on music specifically for having sex to. I've had sex while music was playing, but it wasn't planned. This has led to some strange moments, like fucking while the Ramones are playing.
