It took me a year to be able to pick out the sound of your footsteps a floor below with my eyes closed in a crowded apartment, 6 months to memorize every contour and curve of your body so I could draw inspiration and draw your outline well enough to give a muser an idea of what the perfect women looks like.
it took me a week to fully grasp that I was in love with you, a month to understand I wanted nothing more then to be with you, A day to tear down the preconceived notions of what beauty is, It took me two years to understand the beauty in your complexity. It took less then a lifetime to realize I found my soul mate.
The realization that your smile could bring me to tears, that your touch sent me to heaven, This came, the day after you said goodbye.......

It takes twice as long to forget as it did to learn

So as I sit here writing this I raise my glass and toast to only 4 more years to go.........

maybe you shouldn't keep writings anywhere. Be a man and bottle your emotions up until it spills over and you punch things.

Just because you "rarely talk about the latter two" doesn't make them any less valid.

Though I would agree that the original post is stretching the term in it's vagueness.

oh by the way, spirit bear, poetry always gets pretty much reamed on the general forums. there are several poetry groups though, where you'd probably get mocked a lot less!

It was not poetry, more so ramblings while I was bored. Plus I have been a member long enough ( Originally joined in 04 this is a different account ) that I have thick skin, oh yeah and its the internet so I am not going to be offended.
