I'm lost
October 2003

OCT 24, 2003 01:32 AM

I am 25 and thinking to get circumcised.

Has anyone else here gone through this later in life?

What are the pros/cons?

What do the gals have to say about this?

I have always enjoyed the retracted look of the skin but can never get it to do so all the time.

Ideas/suggestions/rants?

what a shame. circumcision is so un-necessary, painful, and potentially dangerous. why not love your uncirc weiner as it is?

Keep in mind that this is simply my point of view and not the point of view of ALL girls. smile

I love uncircumsised cocks. It's much easier to give a hand job since the skin slides over the head so well (duh, that's what it's designed for), and I think they look nifty. It also feels cool during sex because that extra skin sort of rubs the right places. As far as blow jobs go, I just pull the skin back.

Additionally, having the foreskin means that the head of your penis is a bit more sensitive since it isn't rubbing against your underwear all the time. This makes blow jobs that much more intense.

I'm curious as to your reasons for wanting this procedure. Is it simply cosmetic, as you state with 'the look of the retracted skin', or is there more to it? I'm not trying to say that you're making a wrong decision. I'm just curious.

You may want to check WebMD for more information about circumcisions performed later in life.

And to back up what Olivia said, there are reasons you're born with that foreskin. Heightening sexual pleasure is probably one of the best reasons to keep it. wink

If I ever had a son, I wouldn't get him circumsised. To me, that's like slicing off the clitoral hood or something. Ick.

i don't remember where, but somewhere i happened upon an interview with a guy who was circumcised late in life. he said sex before was like color, cable TV, and sex after was one channel in black and white.
I'm also curious why you're interested in getting it done. Purely for the look?

Most girls tend to fear the hooded willy out of pure ignorance. For me, they usually don't even realize it's there until I tell them. Then comes the curiosity. Sometimes they even ask if they can play with it uninterupted for a little bit, which is weird but understandable. After a while they don't even remember what it was like without one. Seriously, if I showed you a picture of my wang, you couldn't even tell if I didn't want you to. Consciously taking a scalpel to yourself is not going to make you a better man.

*ouch* Why, do you have some sort of physical problem? I am unable to fathom anyone doing it for purely aesthetic reasons, as they tend to look pretty similar when erect and why would they really care what it looks like flacid? I would not want to give up the sensitivity (and you can't tell me it doesn't have an effect, because I bloody well know what it would be like to walk around in clothes with my foreskin) and the gliding action (I am unable to imagine masturbating without it... no that's not true, I imagine I would just use lube more often, but still). Of course, I am in Canada and the rate of circumcision is becoming close to zero here.

I personally prefer circumcised to uncircumcised. I think it looks sexier, and feels better. You can argue that one should leave their body as is, but how many of you have piercings and tattoos?

I am intact and love it.

My Father was circumcised at 21 years of age. He was in the navy during WW11 and was having trouble finding soap and water.

They took off too much skin so when he was erect, the penis was pulling downward and causing pain. He also lost sensitivity in the glans.

I wish you luck on whatever you decide

I don't know guys, I used to work in a nursing home, and the old guys that weren't circumcised, had it a lot worse let me tell you. They get yeast infections just like women.

Just put some serious thought into whatever you do.

I'm willing to take the risk. There should be a rule that says parents get a piece cut off of them whenever they decide to let a butcher take a piece of their kid off without it's consent.

My parents didn't even consent to the circumcision and I was cut anyway. At least thats what they told me.

I'll never get why people feel violated about being circumcized as a newborn. I was, and I couldn't give two shits. What else has gone wrong in your life that causes you to focus so much energy on something like circumcision?

And for those of you saying that a circumcized penis is less sensitive.....how the hell do you know?

Instead of whining about a piece of skin that you lost 18+ years ago...why not go read a book....or volunteer at a homeless shelter or something. Or better yet, put some masking tape over your cack and get over it.

I dont think penises are that pretty anyway, In fact I dont even spend that much time looking, so I dont think a circumcision for the sake of appearance is a very good idea.

My friend got circumcized out of necessity last year though, he was in a lot of discomfort for a few days and couldn't have sex for a couple of weeks and that was the end of it really. No big deal.

Do whatever makes u happy smile

I normally wouldn't agree with Cash (at least not in the Current Events forum), but I think he's dead-on here. I was circumcised as a baby, and I don't really care. It's not like I ever knew what life was like with it, and I have far greater concerns in my life than worry about "what life could have been" with that extra ounce or so of penis-skin.

I love them both ways biggrin

But as far as only getting it for aesthetic reasons, I got a needle put to my pussy purely because I liked the way a pierced pussy looks -- purely aesthetics. So don't knock that reason.

I do think it's an unnecessary risk, but in the end, it's your dick, so do what you want with it.

Good luck whatever you decide to do, just make sure you put a lot of thought into it!

Uh, it isn't that hard to figure out. Do you really expect a mucous membrane to be as sensitive after you have dried it out and rubbed it against clothes for years? Besides, I know what it would be like to walk around with my foreskin peeled back and since you cut fellows generally aren't going nuts, obviously you are at least somewhat less senstive. *sheesh*

And I would be at least a little upset about being cut as an infant, as it seems to increase sensitivity to pain at least for a few years afterwards, I might be less sensitive, and I wouldn't have my gliding action. Sex and masturbation are bloody important to me (not that sex is necessarily all that different if you are cut, but it seems that it is possible for it to be) so why wouldn't I be upset? Plus, I am big on consent, something an infant can't give.

a friend of mine was circumsised when he was in his early 20's--he had a rather malformed foreskin that woulndn't let him come out all the way and was rather painful. he said afterwards it was the worst pain of his life and it got infected. he's in his 40's now and is happy with everything, but i say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yeah, I've heard it's horribly painful and you want to lie in bed curled up in a little ball for days. I can imagine. If someone cut off my labia I'd just want to lie in bed for days.

Aha well as said I was merly "Thinking" of it and as alwyas I plummet back to earth when I realize the absurdity of such a desire. I was mostly interested to see the input from those on the site.

Thanks for the posts.

Talk to me when you've lived with both. Because until then, you're speculating. And when you speculate you're making a spec of u and late.
