You could try 3-in-1 oil on the slats where they meet the frame. It might drip on the floor or soak into the mattress a little. You could also try inserting cardboard strips between the slats and the frame (cut from a cereal box, for example) - depends how the slats are attached.

You don't want to hear them have sex?

I lurk around hotels just for this.

Think of it this way, at least you don't have a hammock for a bed and have to use the living room couch or something if you want things to work at maximum efficiency. APPRECIATE THE SQUEAKINESS!

It's the mattress of my bed that squeaks, but not much -- so I'm more fortunate than few.

I lost my virginity on a two bed dorm loft. The whole hall knew. Creakk Thudd, Creakk Thudd. We actually stopped to try and tighten the bolts to see if we could help. It didn't. We changed venues next time, but we weren't going to stop that first night.

the thought of this cracked me up, hey baby you don't happen to have an allen wrench on you? no, fuck it.

My bed is horribly noisy. The last couple of times I gave up and ordered "Just get on the fucking floor," but now it's middle of winter it's too cold for that!
Not that it matters now anyway - *wanders over to this thread.* frown whatever
edit: I should mention I still live with my folks, so I can't exactly appreciate the squeakiness...
