I'm lost
December 2007

DEC 28, 2007 10:06 PM

Well, my relationship has just officially took a shit. I am the one now doing the chasing, calling, emailing, and getting absolutely nothing in return. I love that shit. Now I'm going to go punch a hole in the wall and rip a pillow, or stab somthing.

Seriously though, how come women have the abilitity to turn off the relationship switch to instant "off" and next thing you know, you're subscribing to SG.com.

I'm not one to call someone 20 times in a row, but I find myself doing it almost uncontrollabley. I really hate this mind fuck. Plus the holidays really blow.

Right, because everyone who has a membership on this site is such a loser. whatever

So two questions spring to mind:

a) how long has this been going on? If it's been a couple of days, maybe - just maybe - she's had other things going on in her life and you have to be sensitive and respect the fact that her world doesn't revolve around yours.

b) have you tried communicating this concern to her, or are you going to stick to the wall-punching strategy of relationship management?

If my boyfriend started calling me 20 times in a row, I'd ignore him too. And maybe get a restraining order.

Seriously, that's creepy. You are not making things any better by acting like an obsessive freak.

Girls don't like that? What about "stabbing somthing" [sic] in frustration? Don't tell me that that bothers women, too.

Damn, now I might have to go punch a hole in a wall, rip a pillow, and start a thread complaining about you on this one porn site I just joined.

So, tell us about this girl. Does she have email? Maybe one of us could get in touch with her and, you know, tell her you've been trying to get in touch!

I know I just joined SG for some post-relationship wanker-tugging material. the free stuff on the net is good, but I wanted to pay for it so it felt better...

To be fair to the guy I have had that "oh my God we can't just be over for good!" freakout... I didn't call 20 times, or stab anything, but I probably felt like it for a day or so.

Breakups suck.

maybe the problem is the lack of closure? the fact that she hasn't told him it's over. I don't understand how anyone could do that, just stop taking calls without saying "hey, it's over".

but yeah, I hope she never finds this post about you wanting stab/hit things. That right there might be why she stopped taking your calls in the first place. (anger issues?)

Stop calling. Don't call, don't text....cease all contact.

Keep your head up, bite the bullet and be a man about it.

What I'm saying is...walk away with a shred of dignity.

My last boyfriend acting creepy and obsessive like this is exactly why I ended our relationship. Relax and she'll want to be around you more.
