You know you have a bad crush when...

...hearing a seemingly random word reminds you of someone and makes you breathe a sigh of longing.

..when it's 3:45 am and you are outside their house in the pouring rain without an umbrella, diving through two white force flex bags of trash "getting to know them better"...

...you have a restraining order against you...

...your husband finds out.

.... you check her blog 20 times a day to see if she has updated yet ....

When you break into tears just thinking about her.

It's past the expiration date

Trying not to think about her only makes you tihnk about her more.

... You just can't fined the right words to say to her.

your second in command won't stand at attention for anyone else

Or when your second in command becomes the first in command every time you think about her.

... you make threads about crushes.

That cracked me up.

... you're willing - no, eager to drive the 2 & 1/2 hours to pick them up to spend an evening and a day with them, because it means you'll get another 2 & 1/2 hours on the evening with them.

You obsess over everything having to do with the person, from the person herself, to the house she lives in, the car she drives, the school she goes to and the city or country in which she lives!

Agreed.

...all other women appear disappointing, insufficient, and inadequate until finally, they just become invisible to you altogether. And you fear that you'll never meet anyone quite as amazing -- one who possesses every quality you ever believed you wanted in a woman (that the woman you're crushing on, seemingly has in spades), ever again. "So why even bother meeting anyone new?", you'll wonder to yourself. And you'll struggle with the notion that perhaps you indulged yourself in the fantasy of it all and the idea of some perfect woman that you built up in your mind -- wondering if you wasted your time pining for someone who never existed in the first place; spending the rest of your days alone, wasting away in a dusty, old, studio apartment somewhere in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, eating Cheetos in your underwear, watching reruns of Family Feud until the day of your death from a heart attack at the tender age of 38.
