As most of you know, I keep my ear pretty close to the ground when it comes to this music shit, so I expect to know about most stuff before other people. It is starting to get out of hand though. I was listening to the top 5 at 9 or whatever it is on KROQ last night and 3 out of the five songs where tracks I had been talking about like in August or September.
This pisses me off because songs that I really like and played into the ground on my own then start becoming popular amongst the masses and I hear them so much that something I once liked becomes grating to my own ears. I certainly don't help matters by paying an extra 10 bucks to purchase imports for albums sometimes months before they get released in the states. I thought a good disc jockey's job was to break new records, not just recycle old shit once it gets popular. No wonder nobody buys any music anymore.
Don't know what the point of this rant is, just wanted to vent some frustration. Am I the only one that gets this feeling?
