Sorry, but I can't stand Eagles of Death Metal. I think they suck. Saying anything less would be a lie. Opinions are like assholes, or whatever they say, so none of this really matters. What does matter is that Josh Homme has been hanging out with Queens of the Stone Age, who are back to work on some new songs.

Homme told NME about the activity, but wouldn't reveal the lineup of the band. Honestly, I don't care. Just write and record; I will buy the record whether it's Helen Keller or "notables" playing the songs.

Does this mean Eagles of Death Metal are dead, or just taking a break? It seems it's the latter.

"We've [Homme and Jesse Hughes, Eagles' main man] been getting in touch with our feminine sides - we've been touching them every day - and we've been beating our inner child."

Eh. Great. Hopefully Queens will be in the studio for a while. But, I never begrudge anyone for their tastes. Because I'm a fair man, I'll tell you that the Eagles are about to embark on a small tour with Peaches. That's appropriate since I also can't stand Peaches. I'm sure some of you are stoked, so here you go.

Eagles and Peaches:

7/15 - Denver, CO @ Gothic Theatre
7/16 - Lawrence, KS @ Granada
7/17 - Chicago, IL @ Vic Theater
7/18 - Toronto, ON @ Kool Haus

7/22 - New York, NY @ Roseland
7/23 - Philadelphia, PA @ Theatre of the Living Arts
7/24 - Towson, MD @ The Recher Theatre
7/26 - Virginia Beach, VA @ Norva
7/27 - Atlanta, GA @ Variety Playhouse
7/28 - New Orleans, LA @ House of Blues
7/29 - TBA
7/31 - Las Vegas, NV @ House of Blues
8/01 - San Diego, CA @ House of Blues

Thank you so much!! I've always wondered whether or not an idiot from Philly likes Eagles of Death Metal. How about next time you just give the tour dates without the fucking critique. I don't know if I can trust the opinion of someone that chooses to live in Philadelphia.

I am not a fan of the current shit being dumped down our throats musicwise and if that makes me a PUBLIC ENEMY so be it. BUT if your gonna bash someone for where they live your a moron. I am originally from New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina forced me to move where I could get a job and Philly was that place. The only offers I got for assistance or a job in California had "sexual strings attatched".

Not so damn concieted now are you?

I'm the moron? You just invalidated your entire whiney rant when made fun of me for where I live. What's the point of saying you hate a band, and then you give their tour dates? You silly! Almost as silly as living in a city that's 10 feet below sea level and a popular hurricane destination.

it's okay to bash bands you don't like. anybody who ever thought SG news was somehow objective clearly is not paying a lot of attention. And I have to agree that bashing people based on where they live is a bit fucked.

Ugh... This music editor is a joke.

Josh Homme IS Queens of the Stone Age. He's the only person who's been there, writing, the whole time since '98. It's a revolving door band.

And personal opinions from editors on the newswire is basically a form of internet-STD. Tasteless. It's lame, completely unprofessional and totally redundant.

We're lookin' for news, not criticism.

But that's all my opinion, and like you said, it doesn't matter.

It's also the entire point of the newswire. If you want tour dates without editorials, sign up for your favorite band's email list.

I don't have any one favourite band, on top of the whole "Submit your e-mail to us for updates" thing has kind of cluttered my junk mail inbox with more than enough "h0n3yh0us3w1fe w4nt5 ur c0ck" and "GAIN 21 INCHES NOW!!!1111oneone" e-mail to last an eternity.

I guess SG isn't the best place for "raw" information. Damn.

That means I actually have to put effort into hearing about things?! Goddamnit.

Or you could just read the Newswire, since the info you want is right there.

It's also not cool to call someone a Joke just because you don't like their opinion.

I just flagged you for having a terrible profile picture. Now that is a joke. Mr. Werner, on the other hand, usually has something interesting to say, especially since he writes from the perspective of a sort-of working musician.

And personal opinions from editors on the newswire is basically a form of internet-STD. Tasteless. It's lame, completely unprofessional and totally redundant.

Whereas your personal opinions are fucking solid gold.

Why is it always the guys with references to how punk they are in their username who make these posts? Are you stickin' it to the man by shooting down Mr. Werner's opinion on some half-assed radio punk band?
