That's a blast from the past. Thank you again YouTube.

Bryan Ferry's "Bete Noir" was my first ever CD purchase way back in 1987.

I saw Roxy Music in the Hammersmith Odean in Birmingham, England in 1982
Ten years later I saw Brian Ferry at Radio City Music Hall.

I got laid both times.

I remember watching the video for "Avalon" as a little kid and being freaked out by the falcon for some weird reason.

But there was no denying EVER that Bryan Ferry is smooth as silk.

I've been listening to a double live album of theirs lately, and enjoying it a lot.

I think a general rule for me is if something is 1) very 1970s, 2) pretty fruity, 3) fairly over-the-top, 4) has a good beat, I'm pretty much gonna like it.

true for me, as well.
Avalon is pretty sweet, suave and sophisticated, though.

The Soft Boys (Robyn Hitchcock's band) cover of this is pretty kickass as well.

"Slave To Love" may be the most romantic song ever written.

"too young to reason/too grown up to dream" is my favorite lyric from that song
