greatest movie that features musicians is quite easily the mighty 'ALL OVER ME'. it features pat briggs of psychotica, the exquisite leisha hailey of the murmurs, and of course the divine mary timony.

The fact that nobody mentioned my first one makes me sad. I will try not to repeat the great ones already mentioned.

The Clash-- Westway to the World
Radiohead-- Meeting People is Easy
Songs for Cassavettes
Fugazi-- Instrument
Scratch
The Freshest Kids - A History of the B-Boy
Bob Dylan-- Don't Look Back
The Beatles-- Let it Be

My fabulous girlfriend got me the Westway DVD the day Joe died.

She knew I'd need to have a good cry and boy was she right.

First Joey Ramone, then Joe Strummer. Why must all the Joes die?

I just saw "24 hour party people." It's about the founder of Facotry Records that released Joy Division, New Order, Blue Mondays and all those Manchester bands. As far as movies go, it kinda sucked. But I enjoyed watching it because it had bands that I liked in it. At least the first half did.

The Red Violin is beautiful
24 hour party people is very fun.
I think I've seen Sid and Nacy 50 times. Its great.
Cusack in High Fidelity is me in about ten years. I love those scenes in the record store where he fantacises about beating up his exgirlfreinds new boyfreind.
Sweet and Lowdown is pretty dope
Harold and maude has some banjo playin in it - does that count? - and if that counts, does Deliverence count?

There are too many good movies about music.

As a mandolin player, I wish I could say captain corellis mandolin, but that thing is a bunch of complete shit.
