This has been one of the best threads I have ever read. For some reason my friends don't get my Bowie obsession- they like his music and think he's cool but just don't understand.
I've been in love with the man since I saw Labyrinth at six-he was my first crush.

But anyway, the man has been performing for 40 YEARS!(or close enough) I think if he wants a break from recording and performing fair enough, and curating an arts festival isn't quite the same.
As for lying,it's no secret he's a bit of a fibber. He told reporters he was brought up in Brixton when it was 'full of blacks' for God's sake!
But the man is God.He can do whatever he wants in my opinion.
