Is there anything in existence more beautiful than her voice? Is that even possible?

I enjoy both her solo work and her work in DCD.

Though I'm more of a Elizabeth Frazier fan, just because the Twins were my favorite band for the longest time.

I love them both so much, too, but the difference between Lisa and Elizabeth is production. Lisa has NO production on her voice. What you hear is all her.

Lisa Gerrard is all that, a bag of chips, a case of Fruit Stripe gum, a to-go pack of Cinnabons, and a loaf of angel food cake love

She is an astounding talent. I am so glad that I bought the Dead Can Dance boxed set. It contains some fascinating historical information that I haven't seen before (though I haven't really looked) and it has the DVD of the Toward the Within performance (although I already had it on VHS). I love watching her sing, her passion, the tremble of the lip for the vibratto (or whatever it is called). It was also interesting to hear her and Brendan Perry describe their feelings and motivations.

The live Cantara is one of my favourite tracks ever (it will go on my Mix CD for the swap if I get it done). I love the slow build and then the explosion of passion. I can almost sing along with that one I've heard it so many times.

Yes. I do like Lisa Gerrard a little too biggrin I need to track down more of the movie score work she was involved in.

And as for Elizabeth Frazier, I never knew much of her before Massive Attack: Mezzanine. Teardrop is a most beautiful song...and the images in the video fit eerily with it.

But then don't get me started about my favourite wordsmith, Ani Difranco, whose talent is so entirely different.
