Bad Manners 'Skinhead Love Affair' or my preferred anthem
"Special Brew' because I absolutely have a love affair with beer.
"I love you, yes i do
'cos i know that you love me too
I love you, yes i do
gona spend all my money on you
everyday when i say, that i'm not gona take anymore
its ok, don't go away, i feel bad when you're closing the door
I love you
Need some more, to restore all the feeling that i get from you
i want more, give me more, all i want is a barrel of you
I love you, yes i do
'cos i know that you love me too
i love you, yes i do
gona spend all my money on you
woh woh woh woh
I don't care, when they stare, at the way that i'm always with you
we're a pair, it's not fair when they say we're a special brew!
woh woh woh woh
I love you
hey...hey...hey...hey...
hey...hey...hey...hey...
hey...hey...hey...hey...
hey...hey...hey...hey...
Everyday, when i say, that i'm not gona take anymore
it's ok, dont go away, i feel bad when you're closing the door
Need some more, to restore all the feeling that i get from you
i want more, give me more, all i want is a barrell of you
woh woh woh woh woh woh woh
I love you, yes i do
cos i know that you love me too!!!"

sSo apparently not looking to make friends on this board but I'm sorry, nofx sucks and they have nothing to do with skinhead anthems. Their songs are all about evasion of guilt and attempting to make fun of people who actually try to make a difference. Is nice that they try to bring humor to punk that's fine but I just can't stand people who consider their songs anthems and they quote nofx like anything they say should be taken seriously.
If I wasn't so disgusted with politics as a whole, I'd prolly ask you what your political standpoint was.

"Don't Call Me White". I think it's by NOFX, but all I know is the Rancid cover.
And anything with Skinhead Rob in it. Hate on me all you like, I don't hate him.
I'm pretty sure that song is about being Jewish and has nothing to do with skinheads or Rancid.
First off, Rancid does an awesome cover.
Secondoff, that's like saying "The Brews" isn't a skinhead song.
I'm also pretty sure Saraphine just explained this whole thing to me complete with lyrics. Thanks for paying attention.
The part about being circumcized I think is what made me think it was about being Jewish. Also I hadn't thought about the idea of not wanting to be called white even though you actually ARE white... that sort of makes me like the song less, like the narrator just won't own up to what his racial heritage implies.
Can I say that I don't particularly like NOFX? I never ever would have guessed in 9 million years that they ever did a skinhead anthem. Ever. But I could be wrong...
I like NOFX but I don't think of either of those songs as being particularly pro-skinhead. I obviously don't really listen to lyrics too closely though so what the hell.
Hahahaha....yeah who cares. I'm a bit too old to be in that musical genre. Although Melvin used to come to our store parties back in 'the day'. He was....quiet
Not that I know a fucking thing about skinheads or anything.... but it seems to me that every skin I've ever met has worshipped Ian Stuart and Skrewdriver..
skrewdriver's first album is phenomenal but anything after that you get into neo-nazi skrewdriver. basically there are two very different skrewdrivers and with two very different messages. I stand by the idea that you can like the first album but for the most part when you mention skrewdriver to people it conjures up images of racism.
Back With A Bang - Brass Tacks (Skrewdriver cover)
Pulling On The Boots - Fear City (Romper Stomper cover)
Oi! Oi! Oi! - Decibelios
Garotos Podres - Garotos Podres
