What is it about the now-defunct rock band Kiss that inspires so much tribute? It was the first band to get merchandized out the wazoo, lending their likenesses to everything from lunchboxes to hats to dolls to mugs (they even have their own overfilled section on eBay). Now, it seems, there's somewhat of a smackdown afoot in about which air guitar Kiss tribute band made up entirely of little people really owns the idea.

The two bands are called MiniKISS and TinyKiss. It seems that "Little" Tim Loomis used to be the drummer for MiniKISS and quit to form Tiny Kiss, in which three little people are accompanied by a 350-pound woman. They were playing a place in Vegas called Beacher's Madhouse on St. Patrick's Day when Joey Fatale, the frontman of MiniKISS evidently tried to infiltrate security with the intention of confronting his former drummer over stealing the idea (which seems plausible to me -- nobody's in two little-person air guitar Kiss tribute bands in a row by accident).

Fatale claims nothing really went down and that the whole thing is a publicity stunt for the venue, but I don't care. Stories like this just really brighten my day. I think I even smell a reality show... Midget Kiss Idol? Midget Kiss Wars? Bring it.
