This morning I was horrified to learn that I have the same Rugby shirt as Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst.

If the shirt wasn't a gift and I didn't love it so much, I would burn it. That is how much I am into Fred and his faux celebrity.

I was happy enough thinking that I had heard the last of Durst and his band, when I stumbled across the shirt photo and MTV's story about the latest in Fred and LB's plight. This time, his adversary is ex-guitar player Wes Borland (who is also guilty of producing doo-doo, but at least he jumped ship). Evidently Durst is bent out of shape because Borland has been saying in interviews that Limp Bizkit is finished. Durst has proven otherwise by posting a "diss-track" about Borland to the Limp Bizkit Myspace page, called "Unacceptable Interlude". Here are some of the lyrics, which harken back to a young Dylan:

Aw sh--, time to break out/ Seems like a black light's done burnt out/ Like, 'Wake me up before you go-go,' man/ It's that black light giving you that devilish tan, huh? I'm kind of glad you finally found a 'man'/ Stop making plans to manipulate fans and/ Finally stick to something you believe/ 'Cause you had us all fooled and, I'll admit, even me/ Manipulating like a crook who's arrestable/ It's unacceptable, f---ing unacceptable

Of coure, Durst is refering to Borland's new band Black Light Burns. I can only imagine that Borland is thinking that it is easier to dump an insane girlfriend than Durst. But let's also be realistic; Borland evidently left Limp Bizkit because he was afraid of "selling out." You know, because the underground hit, "Nookie", was the band's final stab at fame in the DIY frat-boy subculture that was coddling them for so long.

In any event, check out "Unacceptable Interlude" and fall in love with the Bizkit all over again. Plans for another Limp Bizkit release are still being worked out by Durst and Co., but the potential album currently has the working title, The Unquestionable Truth (Part 2). MTV also reports that Durst is directing a film. No word on whether or not it is about himself.

"Fucking unaccaptable" is the lamest insult ever. I write meaner memos.

Edit: Unless he's singing "Fucking Unacceptable" to the tune of "Simply Irresistable"

Is it bad that, without hearing the song, I know exactly how Fred delivers it? I mean, down to the syllable?

Also, Nookie wasn't their first big hit at all. Faith was huge. Come on now.

You're not the only one so don't feel bad. When Nookie came out in AZ, it was #1 on the radio station for 3 fucking months. #1 every day for 3 fucking months. Then I had to hear it 20 times a day, if not more. And to make matters even more fun, I had to explain to my Mormon yearbook advisor what Fred Durst meant by "nookie" puke

You bastard!

I'll admit it, I used to be a Limp Bisket fan, if only for the fact that their songs were catchy and they had a super high energy concert. I haven't heard anything they've done since Borland left. Don't imagine I'm missing anything either. whatever

why does everyone give wes borland this "get out of jail free" card as far as being at least partially responsible for the junk that limp bizkit released? it was all crap, but a fair number of people keep trying to push this "fred sucked but wes was cool" way of thinking...but c'mon, he's at least partially to blame for all those crap songs. he might be a helluva guitarist, songwriter, whatever...but given that everyone knows him from limp bizkit, it's hard to get me to believe he's that good.

now as a person, he might be a charming and sweet kinda guy...or someone you might wanna hang with, totally one of the guys...whatever...and fred might be a total prick. but that band was awful from day one, and all of those guys gotta be charged with one of two crimes.

1) actually thinking that the music was good...or
2) knowing that it sucked and totally selling out to make a buck.

either way, they should be glad they have the money and just go away.

It was never the music that was bad...it was the singer..er....rapper...er...frontman who made the band crap.

I used to be a LB fan btw.

Puke. puke I can't believe how badass he thinks he is. My sister once found a notebook with a picture of Winnie the Pooh on it, grabbed a Sharpie, gave poor Pooh a lame goatee and some piercings--and voila! Fred Durst! The resemblance was uncanny.

That was probably what he was going for... I heard a rumor once that winnie the pooh was really from the streets.
