Watching SG Videos for the Music

Perhaps it's a throwback to when Mtv had actual videos, but it seems like every Thursday, when a new video hits the main page, I get more excited at the idea of what new album or artist I'm going to hear. Now it's the synergy that makes the both the girl and the music amazing, but the music is the first thing in my head.

Anyone else out there watching the videos for the music?

I liked Akemi's video with Papillon. Of course, it's a bit of an outlier with respect to music used in the videos.

The DVD definitely made me go out and check out some of those bands on it. In particular, that Reagan montage... [swoon]

Yuki's video prompted me to go out and check out Decoder Ring (who I believe made an appearance today) and GoGo's video with Hutchinson.

Man, the synergy of music and nakedness.

I totally love seeing the videos... that is my favorite way to hear about different bands.

It's definitely part of the appeal.

FOr those of us who have no active links to the scene anymore, we get new music anywhere we can find it. Thank god I have a 17 year old brother!
