It is rare that an annual music festival can last for seventeen years. Warped Tour might be the first place contender for that kind of longevity right now, but even that takes a back seat to the HFStival. And yes, it's mindblowing that in this day and age, there could still be a pop music festival that is older than many of its attendees.
The event lasts two days and is sponsored by the popular Washington DC / Baltimore area radio station 99.1 WHFS. The lineup is basically the same as Warped Tour, with the addition of automatic-music-critic-boner-machine Kanye West, VH-1 Where Are They Now stars Cypress Hill and the Kosher Ragamuffin, Matisyahu. Other bands include The Misfits, AFI, Panic! At the Disco, and Rise Against. You can see most of the full lineup here.
The fest is at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD, and will last through the weekend of May 27 and 28. Tickets go on sale this weekend.

It's two days, the prices are unreal and you pay for each day separately, and The Counting Crows are co-headlining. In case you're wondering, it isn't 1994. Anyone who goes to the festival needs to lay off the dumbass pills.
