"The Wit & Wisdom of Ronald Reagan". Unlistenable simply because both sides are one long silent track.

Naked City stuff by John Zorn is pretty challenging. I also agree with "Metal Machine Music". Even some of the Ornette Coleman and John Coltrane material is pretty crazy.

Yeah, boy, Naked City is a tough one. But my favorie room clearer is "The Holy Modal Rounders Eat the Moray Eels". I had the great fortune to meet Peter Stampfel (from the Rounders, also helped found the Fugs) several months ago. In his 60's and still making challenging music which puts most modern bands to shame.

Throbbing Gristle "20 Jazz Greats" and I also agree with the person mentioned "Loveless" by My Bloody Valentine. For an album soooooooo beloved by so many it's just boring.

I think Mike Patton's 'Adult themes for voice' has the crown in my collection. He made it in various hotel rooms when on tour with Mr Bungle on a 4 track and a microphone. Just wierd noises with his voice, but done very well. Very artistic and very difficult to listen to

Is that the album with the " fuck song" on it? just him saying fuck like hes a malfunctioning casio drum machine? I love that.
My winner is Merzbow and Genesis P.Orridges' " A Perfect Pain"; it's so intimately strange I cry whenever I hear it.

The key I think to my bloody valentine is not listening to it as songs per say but thinking of the vocals as instruments. I used to hate them until I figured that out.
