Wait... are Emo bands even ALLOWED to fight each other?

I figured there were some words missing, namely...

"and then have a good cry about it."

"and then kiss and make out."

They slap-fight. It's like Dynasty without the old money.

They still call each other "bitches" though, right?

Yep.

Actually though, I was a little off on that last comparison. What I should have said is that it's like Dynasty if you replace the old money with myspace.

Guys like this are the reason I get nauseated every time I think I'm promoting my music...

Wait... are Emo bands even ALLOWED to fight each other? And if so, doesn't that make them teeter precariously into the "punk" realm? And if SO... then wouldn't Rites of Spring be the posers, defending emo whilst being punk?

Food for thought.

(Also, I've never heard of any of the bands mentioned in this thread so far. I think that proves Hawthorne Heights' point about ROCK pretty compellingly. wink )

They're right about that Ne-yo fella.
I was working at Circuit City when his single came out, and every other person in the door was looking for his at that time unreleased album.

I used to love Victory records back in the day when by the grace of god, snapcase and earth crisis were around. Its all about record sales now. Damn shame.

For the love of indie rock,

So, as far as I'm concerned, these guys remind me of when I used to be a huge fan of Saves the Day and Taking Back Sunday and Thursday... And they seem exactly the same (except later, so even more derivative), and I have to wonder... If I could meet myself as I was then, would I want to punch myself in the balls?

Even if you didn't want to, I think you'd be obligated to do it.

I'm sort of disappointed at realizing Ne-Yo isn't Chinese. I gladly would've done my part to help the first Chinese artist top the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Sticking it to Hawthorne Heights would've been the cherry on top.

I really hate this band.

And i hate bands who give themselves a label which has been dragged down as far as Emo.
