my friends play in a great band called By A Thread who already have an album out on Revalation and got a new one coming out this year. Also check out Honeysuckle Serontina, Three Inches Of Blood (who play kick ass old school style metal) and S.T.R.E.E.T.S. (Skating Toatlly Rules Everything Else Totally Sucks). That's pretty much Vancouver in a nutshell

Remember a band I liked that was from north of the border Ten Days Late. Anyone know what happened to them? I'd like a cd if they had one. I'll trade and burn a copy of something you want.

yeah Ten Days Late is from Vancouver. they've been around for ever and I've never seen them! They still play once in a while, they just opened for DOA last month. as for SUM 41, that's just our revenge for Creed, Limp Bizkit, and Puddle Of Mudd! HAHA! Take that America! mad

If you ever hear anything more about them let me know. Like web site or such. I've looked and the sites were no longer working.

Oasis is not the "modern answer to the Beatles," Sloan is. Generators of some of the best pop music written in the late 90's/early 00's. ...And they're Canadian!

The only band I can think of from Canadia, other than Rush, is Sully. I'm not certain where they're from but I'm sure they're from up there.

Sully.

The one record I know of is "I Have Much To Report." The first four songs are EPIC! I've also hear three or four other songs that I found online.

Sure would like to know more about them...

The kids from Sully used to be my neighbors (oh, but I'm just namedroppin' now...) here in Ottawa, but they moved to Toronto back in 98 in order to get a larger market. The last I heard they were dropped from Craftwerk records a few years back. Seems the label put some huge demands on them after Sarah McLaughlin went on hiatus (their biggest selling artist). Sully didnt want to have to change the way they sounded just because S.McL was gone.
I don't know what they're doing now

The Canadian government has already apologized for Bryan Adams many times...

Whew, at least nobody is talking about the real trump card, Nickelback. Christ, those guys make Limp Bizkit sound like Led Zep...
