Who the fuck care bears? Twelve year olds.... maybe.
good comment, moderator - oh, hang on - all the people who posted before you care. as do some of the people who post after you.
The comment wasn't directed towards people replying to this. It was commentary about Noel Gallager judging a peer and declaring what someone else should or shouldn't do. If I wanted to live a life constrained by a pre-ordained code of ethics and morality, I'd still be Catholic. The last person I'd have dictate what I should and shouldn't do is some pop star. Well, maybe not the last but the bottom of the barrel is pretty nebulous anyway.

noel is just jealous cause he's not relevant...or talented
Noel lost his hunger when Oasis achieved the fame he craved. Since then he has turned into the indie Oscar Wilde, spitting caustic comments on everyone else in the world. I think his comments are witty and imaginative usually, which is why they pick up a large amount of press. The idea of him having his own TV show sounds quite funny to me but people getting wound-up by his quotes seems a little silly- that's what he does; its like John Lydon swearing or Oliver Reed behaving boorishly in the past.
..and are the White Stripes relevant? Maybe if the year was 1958 but thankfully its 2006 and most bands realize the importance of a good rhythm section.

I just heard Oasis' "All Around the World" on an AT&T commercial. Does that mean they have to kick themselves out of their own club?
i see what you mean, but for what it's worth, at&t paid oasis for a song they already wrote. jack white is actually writing a song FOR coca-cola. despite how much i like the white stripes, it's still the definition of selling out.

Really? I'd say you've got it backwards. Oasis allowed one of their regular songs to be hijacked by a corporation. Whatever it used to be about, it's now "that AT&T commercial song". Jack White created something new specifically for it. None of his real songs are tainted.

Check & Mate.. I was thinking of this thread a couple days ago when i saw that commercial for the first time. Noel is a drunk ass busta who just likes to run his mouth.

The last Oasis record thoroughly rocked. It's too bad American stations were too busy playing garbage like My Chemical Romance to notice.
so true, so true.
If given only those two hellish choices, I'd rather listen to My Chemical Romance than any but possibly the first and half of the second Oasis albums. And yes, I heard the last Oasis album. If you thought it was an improvement over their previous efforts, it was only because it rose to the level of mediocrity, which seemed a huge increase over the out-and-out suckage of their immediately previous releases.

yeah but screw radio. they still sold out every show (ampitheaters) they played this summer. they sell out huge venues whether the album theyre touring on is any good or not.
It's nice to know you can keep yourself relevant by throwing spectacular temper tantrums. And, for that matter, sell out amphitheaters by playing utterly standard Britrock. At least The White Stripes don't sound like anybody else, let alone about a million other bands.
