I really like end wrenches. I've got a couple of nice torque wrenches too (one of 'em is about two feet long). I think my favorite tool might be my factory BMW exhaust nut wrench. It's a big crazy chunk of cast iron that you could easily kill someone with. It's not like those crappy aluminum after market ones that snap if you tap them with a mallet.

my username betrays me. Yes, I am a tool fan. I find they have too many fans now. Their concerts are entirely too large. Wish I could've seen them in a club in '94 or thereabouts.

Mr. Bungle outlasted FNM, didn't it? And hasn't he done several solo projects? So is Tomahawk really Patton's new band after FNM? Sorry, felt like being anal.

I praise , but can't say anything positive or worshiping that hasn't been said (redundancy sucks), but Maynard isn't a god. His comments after APC hit about tool proved that he was not the genius he was previously thought to be. Still love him and the whole band... I can't not listen to them on a frequent basis.

I saw them at First Ave here in Mpls in '94, and it was one of the most isane concert experiences I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Marnard looked half dead, stomping around in these hideous aqua-marine sweat pants. It was disgusting, terrifing, and just about perfect. There was something about the dark mood they created that I have yet to see replicated in a live performance..

Also got vomited on at that show. Ah, memories! smile

Honestly, I have not followed them lately, as we both seemed to have moved in different directions, but I think they are well deserving of praise. I think it's too bad they get lumped in with the metal croud, as I think they have more in common with prog rock than metal.

I hung out with the bass player Justin and the Guitar player, when they came down to Eugene last summer. I met them at a bar because one of my friends, Joby, knows the band realy well and goes on tour with them.
THey were super super super nice. They got me into the concert for free and got me seated third row center!I got to party with em at the afterhours it was so much fun. I was sad i didn't get to meet Maynard though. THe concert was the best fucking concert i think i have ever been to. I got so many chills watching them perform, along with the visuals and the most melodic and beautiful yet dark and sinister music that I have ever heard in my life, which i might add sounds so much better in an opera hall than i could have ever imagined.....mmmmm....toooooool....I still have the beer can and signed ticket w/ back stage pass that Justin gave me. hehehe... God i feel like such a groupie...well at least i didn't put forth any sexual favors to kick it...Although My friend B. got it on with Justin, and she found out later he was married...and he was wasted drunk ever minute that i saw him.

hmm, i only saw tool once. it was at a high school gym in 92 or 93. they were opening for henry rollins. the evening was marred when the first thing that happened was we pushed our way up to the edge of the pit and then 30 seconds later the girl i was with got kicked in the face. blood was just pouring out of her nose.

i only ended up catching 2 or 3 tool songs and don't remember anything about them. i do like that "learn to swim" song though.

Tomakawk is One of Pattons side projects going on currently,It supposed to be the most "accesible" of his projects, like FNM. If you want to hear some of the most mind warping-scary shit out there, check out his Painkiller Project, with Jhon Zorn, experimental saxaphonist.

Tool is awesome, and Patton is God. Well okay not really but close to it. He rocks me so hard.

Mr Bungle is like...orgasmic. I should probably admit that I've had sex to Tool's "sober" like 24+ times, and I say 24+ because that's when I lost count =/

The last Tool concert I went to? Well:

1) I have never been that close to an orgasm without physical stimulus before.

2) There were many beautiful people there, including a soft skinned, soft spoken poet who's face I wanted to touch.

3) If Maynard's sex style is anything like his concert style, he wouldn't give it to you until you were begging for it.

4) Combine disturbance, arousal, and being in the presence of sheer brilliance and you have a beautiful feeling.
