Hey, I'm new here so hi.

I'm obsessed with the City of Evil cd ever since I saw them live..they blew my mind.
I like this direction musically than the hardcore sound they had before.

they are good..I need to hear more..too many other bands right now ahead of them inline tho..but they are catching on in metal and prog communities..Dream Theater fans specifically...

they are much better than Between the Buried and Me...

Let me guess. You're a leader of a religious cult and the US government is attempting to flush you out using psychological warfare. Keep strong, buddy!

I saw in them in a concert a couple of times before their sudden popularity and I will give them snaps that they obviously put a lot of effort into what they do. By no means am I fan, but I can appreciate the work they put into their band.

Going out a limb, I do think they're a great gateway band for people just discovering "heavy metal" music. Its very VERY rare that people get into the real deal bands of any genre without listening to the watered down/generic stuff first.

I can name a lot of active bands that are much MUCH worse.

This is one of the bands on this compilation kitschy randomly bought for a halloween party we had called Masters of Horror. I hate being negative about music, but this CD was so utterly horrible it made me weep for the current state of hard music in this country. There were maybe 3 bands on there I could listen to on a regular basis. Bleah.

I saw them play at a festival last year.

They were OK. Nothing particularly outstanding though.

This has nothing to do with trends or popularity and everything to do with Frankenberry.
