What did you put on? They were like my fave band in high school. blush But I say that the Huggy Bear split def changed for me in time, I found some it really awful upon a recent listen over 10 years later. Not the test of time for that one. Haven't heard Pussy Whipped or the first in forever, all of the singles (including the Peel Sessions) are definitely still gorgeous and I always thought Reject was the best. Shame that they imploded at their peak. I wish KRS would do a handy discography.

They were definitely an important band. I believe I miss the Frumpies as well. love

The Singles is indeed essential or something. This Is New Radio was absolutely fantastic and I recall at the time being like "How the FUCK did they get Joan Jett!?" and the I Like Fucking, although a total tease towards the opus is wonderful. I always loved Tobi's vocals oh-so. love

It's just class, from start to finish. Pisses all over so much of today's 'punk/indie' scenesters, grumble, grumble, rant, grrr, etc, etc. (But true)

I am not sure how much exposure the UK had over these ladies:

but, along with Bikini Kill probably the only other band that just owned...in terms of the whole riot girrrrl thing...if you have never heard them seek this lp out...

Rebel Girl is one of the greatest songs ever. Have you heard Kid606's remix/treatment of it?

i never really dug the whole riot girl thing, myself. kathleen hannah annoys me in almost every way, but BK had some rad songs

a while ago, this magazine had an article about Kathleen Hanna which included a page of a Kathleen Hanna paper doll. This included a drawing of her in cute undies and a black beater, and various articles of clothing she has worn in videos and whatnot. The next month I read a 'letter to the editor' complaining about how this is offensive and very anti 'grrl'.

But I had already cut out the doll and clothing, and pinned them to my wall.

After all, it was really cute... and...

Kathleen Hanna..

cartoon style..

in her undies...

So. I am sorry to the person who complained, maybe I'm a bad person for doing that, BUT BUT!

KATHLEEN HANNA love
