Actually, I'm a sponge. How on earth did that happen?

That's one hell of an outfit. Mixed feelings ensue.

It's sad how accurate the fundamental premise of that band was.

The smart patrol, nowhere to go
Suburban robots that monitor reality
Common stock, we work around the clock
We shove the poles in the holes

Good song.

No one ever said that life was free. Use your freedom of choice; it's what you've got. Freedom of choice to wear embarrassing ironic costumes from Target! Freedom of choice!

But it's funny that the premise was sparked by Oscar Kiss Maerth's The Beginning Was the End, which posits that ancient apes consumed the brains of their own and that this cannibalism caused a growth in both intelligence and insanity, creating us.

Oh, Devo.

Good god! Books are expensive these days. Clearly the answer is to find and eat someone's brain who has read it, and assimilate the knowledge into my own head. Or just pretend I've read it. surreal

They should be carrying these year 'round in sex shops for those of us who long for a realistic Devo gang bang (5 members, I need several).
