Robbie Williams says his new single "Trippin'" is inspired by the Clash. Ahem... no. Not unless "inspired by" is interpreted as "unlike in any conceivable way, shape, or form." Check it out by clicking on "inspired" here, and see what you think. If you must.

Popbitch says it's more like "Bob Marley crossed with Dr. Phil." They wish - that actually sounds pretty awesome.

I actually like more of Robbie Williams' stuff than you probably think, but it's difficult to imagine packing more lyrical clichés into three minutes. Unpleasant.

Robbie Williams is one of the most ludicrously inconsistent pop kids I've ever heard. Swing When You're Winning was, just secretly, a really, really solid album. Sing When You're Winning had its moments. But god he just loves releasing utter shit.

This is a terrible single, but I'm not going to say that it wasn't inspired by the Clash. Just as Trapper John, MD was inspired by Mash

Robbie Williams is...interesting. "Monsoon" was a great track. And I might start a shit storm by saying this probably isn't as far from the Clash ( I'm a huge fan, by the way) as a lot of you would like to think.

I saw that on TV yesterday, I thought, hey, its Robbie Williams, and not once did the clash enter my mind
