Joey and Dee Dee Ramone.

For obvious reasons.

And if I could pick a third... Johnny Ramone.

I agree with this. Except that, more importantly to me, I'M in love with him. Or at least really heavy in like with him.

Marvin Gaye and Jimi Hendrix......

Why? Marvin Gaye... he's the fuckin' man.
Jimi Hendrix... he's the fuckin' man next to the man.

There are times when I can listen to Marvin Gaye's "Trouble Man" 20 times, and still not want to turn it off.

Jim Morrison, so The Doors can be cool again, instead of just laying pretend with the guy from The Cult.

And John Bonham, cause those Zep guys are only awesome when they're all together.

Fred Mercury. His ultra homo-erotic stage presence would make the modern day religious right cringe in agony.

So much more work for both of them to do.

Elmore James. One of the greatest blues guitarists and vocalists of all time. His life was just cut too short by his heart condition.

Joe Strummer and D. Boon, like so many others on this board. Two brilliant guys who it was impossible to put into a mold.

Cheers,
Ché

Quothon (Bathory) and Chuck (Death) because both of them defined the music I listen to, everyone owes something to Death or Bathory if not both, plus Nordland (I and II) was a new high for Bathory, it sucks so much that he died before he could capitalise on it. Also I'd love to see Deat live (everyone singing the chorus to Zombie Ritual, that would be brilliant) biggrin

He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!

Hendrix and Zappa.

Hendrix because the brief body of work he left behind would pale in comparison to what he'd do with a limetime ahead of him. He'd be playing with everyone from across the musical spectrum, cross-pollinating, redefining and reinvigorating every genre you can imagine. Search your feelings... you know it to be true. wink

And Zappa because the bajillion albums he left behind just aren't enough. They really aren't.

December 4, 1993. Prostate cancer.

Kinda imbues with new meaning the song "Why Does it Hurt When I Pee?" from Joe's Garage.
