Anybody use shareaza?

What the fuck? I don't see how this is a victory for the music industry at all, I don't know anyone that uses Kazaa anymore. It's all about the P2Ps that DON'T load you up with spy- and ad-ware.

Pfft. Soulseek and BitTorrent for teh win.

I honestly don't know how soulseek is still around. It could be shutdown permanently with the flick of a switch, as it uses the same sort of architecture that the original Napster used. The fact that it hasn't makes me nervous, like they're watching. eeek

Kazaa has been a a spyware-ridden anathema for P2Pers for years. Kazaa lite has always been better if you insist on using that network. Sharezaa is better than that. I get by on newsgroups, and Bearshare in a pinch. And Bearshare Pro is really a pretty awesome Gnutella client. That takes care of just about anything. (Also "used" from Amazon is always an option but you have to wait.)

Haha, you bitch about SG pics being up on Kazaa but that's exactly how I got introduced to this site, way back in the day! Random picture had the www.suicidegirls.com stamp on it and I followed and the rest is history...

Siterips are quite a bit more dangerous, as they're not really free advertising.

I remember Sean talking about this a while ago. Apparently, we get quite a lot of new members via Kazaa.

Actually given how they were distributed (a really good pic from a good set here and there) I assumed at the time that the site had distributed the pictures. Like I said, I've seen complete siterips of sg.com out there now, which is really bad. Ah well, as has been said, Kazaa has been mostly dead for a while...
