new bjork album

what do people think? i think its great but im biased because shes a bit of a goddess in my eyes. the film looks fucked up though, gonna have to try and catch it in one of the art galleries it's showing at.

I havent been keeping up with bjork and her releases even though she has always been one of my favorites...I am definatly going to pick this up today.

I got the promo the other day, but my wife took it to work with her and hasn't brought it back home yet.

Not a fan of her really but quite enjoyed this one.

haha, i knew a barney/bjork full blown collaboration was just a matter of time.
barney of 'cremaster cycle' fame is a former football star turned eccentric conceptual artist. some of my friends hate him, as "just another pompous jock, only this one figured out how to be the showiest and biggest 'crazy artist' instead of the all star or homecoming king". best known for the 5 cremaster films (varying from 45 min to 3 hrs), barney's unrivalled resources create dense worlds full of surreal costumes, vehicles and bizarre spaces.
his work is lavishly produced, theatrical and over the top (and in my opinion occasionally truly amazing), and seems to be filtering into bjork's work (for better or worse- I really liked medulla despite the obvious barney influence). but lets cross our fingers...

I only recently got into listening to bjork and I find her to be a "slow burner" her first release has really grown on me now...

I'll have to get my hands on a copy of her latest stuff!

I just can't get into the latest stuff past Homogenic. I really want to, but I can't.

are youi including homogenic? homogenic is her best album, her and mark working together is the most perfect musical combination i can think of

bjork/cremaster is a yes.
but a bjork/patton album would crumble cities.
anybody hear the fantômas where is the line remix?

i knew about the film, but somehow never even thought about a Bjork soundtrack to it... it's out on the 23rd and now i cannot wait.

a friend of mine is featured on this album of hers coming up. He is apparently one of the best beat boxers in the UK and is part of this uk group "Foreign Beggars" who are pretty sick

I'm supprised i thought vespertine was bjorks best album, everything comes to gether there for me... Though i love medulla and the early work theres something about its not up to you.
