Soviet Panda may have discovered the modern version of the classic stoner goof of syncing Darkside of the Moon to The Wizard of Oz: Daft Punk's Homework as the soundtrack to Transformers: The Movie.

I don't make this statement in jest. They really do sync up. At its worst moments, the robot-flying seems to echo swooping synths. At its best moments, all of the transformers move in time to the music, while the characters mouth the words to all the vocal samples. You're pretty much good to go if you start the CD and DVD at the same time (the DVD on mute). If you want to definitely get a good match-up, time it so the track "Teachers" aligns with the part in the movie where the transformers teach the single human character, some punk kid, how to operate his new robot body/car. You're good to go from there, and the album and movie should end at the same time. Fucking unreal. Tell your friends.

Now we just need someone to properly join Reign in Blood to The Little Mermaid.

I need to know if this works. Someone with some hardcore audio/video editing skills needs to torrent the TF Movie, erase the original sound, and overlay Homework onto the movie.

I had a friend that would look for these things when bored. There's a track on Darkest Hour's "Hidden Hands..." that goes perfectly with the intro to the Super Smash Bros. Melee video game. I found it amusing, I can't remember which track though.

I'm about 5 minutes into this experiment, and so far, it's possible something is happening, then again, it's possible this is total bullshit. More news as develppments arise.

Ok, about 15 minutes in, and in no way shape or form do these two things sync up. I started both out at 00:00, there are some things that might be perceived as syncing to the beat, but then again, a lot of tracks have a 4/4 time signature and the same bpm... would sync the same to those as well. It's not even like events happen by a couple seconds off that you would think maybe I don't have them playing at the right point... they're waaaay off.

I've come to the same conclusion that I came to when I fucked around with Dark Side and Oz... either you have to be on a lot of mind altering drugs to believe these things sync up, or you're kidding yourself. I have a theory that the people who put this idea out there are laughing their asses off at people (like me) who spend any kind of time checking this shit out. Otherwise, their instructions on where to sync them up properly would be more explicit. "You're pretty much good to go if you start the CD and DVD at the same time"... uh, yeah what, do you sync it up before or after the production company logos... before or after the credits... etc. "f you want to definitely get a good match-up, time it so the track "Teachers" aligns with the part in the movie where the transformers teach the single human character, some punk kid, how to operate his new robot body/car." Again, this is so unspecific... what part from that scene? When he first gets in the body? When the scene opens? Give me a break, they are laughing their asses off. And I think the people who came up with that Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz shit are as well.

In my opinion, nearly any album can be perceived as matching up to any movie, if you make yourself believe that it does.

One more note on this before I go to sleep... the scene they mention where they give Daniel the exoskeleton is at least 10 minutes after the track Teachers starts. Also, the movie and Homework are nowhere near the same length in time. Ok I'm done being a geek now.
