According to the Current Bun,

surreal

"current bun" is a (misspelled) slang term for "The Sun" newspaper. It's a rag, not worth reading.

A Google.co.uk search for "currant bun" (with the quotes) returns The Sun's website as the first hit. surreal

News media: The only MP3 player that exists, or is worth mentioning, is a shitty, overpriced device that will burn out in less than two years. Don't question the unending, fawning, free publicity. Move along...

I don't think it's misspelled. I think it's one of their puns. "Belonging to the present time: current events; current leaders. Being in progress now: current negotiations." or electrical current as it's the online version of the paper.

But given that so many people do, it's worth the occasional pick-up as an insightful self-contained sociology/media lesson,no? (Unlike the Mail, which has me looking for gas & matches before I've even hit page 2!)

According to the Current Bun, Her Majesty, who never has cash with her because apparently she doesn't like the way her face is engraved on her coins, has somehow managed to buy a 6GB silver model for 169 notes and coins with her own picture on them.

Eh...iPods are nice, don't get me wrong, but I have a Rio with comparable capacity, and it came cheaper. It's lasted me 3 years, has been dropped countless times and it still works after a complete drenching when the sunroof in my car was left open. Rio deserves my loyalty after all that, and the tech press owes the other companies at least a few mentions of their products too.

hahahaaha i read that in the paper last week and i laughed.
i have a justified hatred towards ipods. i almost bought one, being sucked in by the convienience of it all (15gb gen 1 model) but we started to sell them at work, and one by one they began being returned because they were fucked. Especially the minis, oh the gen 1 minis were a sellers NIGHTMARE. at one stage we had eight ipod minis to send back to apple for repair.

Dont even START ME on the shuffles, i have never seen a bigger piece of rubbish...they are only designed to last 12 months, after that apple recommend that "you please dispose of your ipod shuffle thoughtfully".

Give me creative labs anyday they may not be as aesthetically pretty or decorative but theyre damn brilliant.
