Is anyone else alternately as turned on/saddened by them as I? I find them a strange mix or arousing and depressing that seems to fluctuate throughout their work, sometimes in the same song...

feel free too smack me as is appropriate if anyone finds that odd

I have to agree-- haven't had the opportunity to copulate to the sounds of the 'head, but I think it might be rather nice if I did.
I might just end up crying on her shoulder though, so perhaps it's not so good...

i rarely understand how people can say this. portishead, while it sounds sexy, is so infinitely depressing. how one can have sex to such depressing words is beyond me.

I can dig Portis Head.

Ole' Girl can sing and the combination of Hip-Hop beats definetly delivers a unique sound. I have a place in my heart that Depressing, sad music as well....I couldn't bone to it though.

You should get Dummy, their first album. They only have one other album and a live album. Quality over quantity hehe.

I love portis head, although only have gotten into them in the last year or so, very soothing, like a sonic massage.

portishead is absolutely sublime to me. Beautiful and yet, still provoking thought and sadness.

every aspect of it is wonderful.
