Its become expected these days that when a band breaks up to have one last hoo-ra with a farewell DVD.

Even though they broke up almost four years ago, the Murder City Devils will be releasing a DVD of their final show that took place on Halloween of 2001. The DVD should be a step up from most concert DVDs with a five camera shot, lots of band commentary, bootlegs, etc ... The expected release date is May 10, 2005 through Sub Pop.

Also jumping in the farewell DVD bandwagon will be their Seattle mates Botch. Hydrahead will be releasing a DVD of their final performance at some point this coming summer. Expect some pretty cool packaging with this one.

i have the cd of MCD's last show. it's good, but it's kind of weird that they're conscious that it's their last show. i dunno. a dvd with multiple camera angles and things might be even stranger. it's like they started the band just to have a last show.

I have that CD too...it's pretty good. I did think it was weird that he says, out loud, "This is the last time we're gonna play"

those fuckers in botch should reform. i'm tired of hearing the knock-offs. and while minus the bear is neat, these arms are snakes aren't so hot.

botch, on the other hand, were awesome. so why did they break up anyways?

sigh.

Have you heard Roy? Awesome band!
These Arms are Snakes is only the bassist... TAaS have more members of Harkonen.

Ben is te only fellow from Harkonen in TAAS. Roy is the band with the highest percentage of ex-Botch members.
