Not suggesting he was a, er, "Jacko", but did anyone else think that title was about child abuse?

Not only did I loathe him but I smashed the tape mom bought me that year after hearing it all of once.... didnt even sample the whole thing just took it to the neighbor's back cementing behind their house and *stomp crunch*
Then had a satisfied grin on my face.
True story.
I also hated Vanilla Ice, And Milli Vanilli, and NKOTB and.... erm all the "hip-hop" acts of the early nineties everyone so loved and raved over... or at least the popular kids did.
They laughed at me then.
Boy am I EVER laughing now. Looking back in hindsight either I was just smart or plain fucking lucky. Either one works... they suck even -more- now. If that is possible.
biggrin

I was really pathetic, because I liked MC Hammer and thought about how, for once, I actually knew about something that was cool. Usually that stuff passed me by. I was so uncool.
Still am!
biggrin
The difference is, in middle school, I hated how uncool I was. frown I'd like to go back in time and give me a hug. And a Ramones tape.

There is a GREAT home video of me as a young child singing MC Hammer's "Have You Seen Her". I didn't know all of the words so I just sort of mumbled everything except the chorus and my little brother kept getting in front of the camera and pissing me off.

I'm telling you, it's classic!

There's a funny story about hammer pants and I. Every day before school we had to wait in the gymnasium when it was cold outside. My group of friends and I had our own "spot" in the gym. Well I was wearing my hammer pants and i attempted to slide to my spot..and they ripped. Everyone was laughing.

I use to work as a DJ for an oldies station. When ever that song came on (by who ever did it first) I would recall the hammer tape I had in 5th grade or so.
