Well then....what are they like? Can you compare them to another band? What kind of music is it? Name sounds good at least.

They're kinda like the Pet Shop Boys right?

Hati made a video for one of their songs on his own and apparently the band was really into it when he showed it to them. Go bug him and he might show it to you too, it's pretty cool.

Source Tags and Codes was a better album than Worlds Apart. That said, I still dig the new album and I'll be going to see them when they play in April with The (International) Noise Conspiracy. biggrin

I was at that show! It was the first show I saw here after moving to L.A. I'd have to say I liked Mogwai a little better, not by much, but just a little.

I do beleive the current drummer left this band to join Trail of the Dead.

I caught Forget Cassetes once when they opened for one of my favorite local bands. They kicked some serious ass once you warmed up to them.

Hadn't heard Source Tags and Codes but will be picking it up shortly after hearing Worlds Apart which a friend gave to me. It's pretty darned good, imo.

I think these guys can be hit or miss at times live-but none the less a very good band...in case anyone is interested go to this link:
Live Music archive
There are about 19 full length live shows in various formats for download free of charge and sanctioned by the band...
In my opinion they translate much better live then on cd...(overall)

Okay, it's offical: I'm hooked on this record. Need to get their earlier stuff. Too bad they appear to be douchebags, but aren't we all?

Okay, I got it - I think Worlds Apart is a much better album. More mature, more varied, much more of a visionary record than Source Tags and Codes.
