Well then....what are they like? Can you compare them to another band? What kind of music is it? Name sounds good at least.

They're a trashy post-punk rock band very similar in style and sound to My Bloody Valentine, Inspired by sonic youth and television
They are very very good

Isn't that the band that smashes all their nice, brand new instruments at every show, regardless of whether or not said show was actually any good? I wonder who pays for all that.

Is it written into the contract that that the record company will replace the equipment if they break it, or that they have to destroy all the equipment, regardless of how uninspired the show was? I mean, when they're playing to a room that's less than 1/3 capacity and apparently catatonic with boredom, isn't it a bit disingenuous to show off how over the top they are?

I saw them at the TLA in Philly. And they smashed their shit. That was the best part of the show unfortunately.

I dunno, I think maybe even the Mooney Suzuki were better than the instrument smashing, and even that's giving the Mooney Suzuki way too much credit.

i saw them live at my college about 2 years ago. they were okay. had a couple really good songs. they did smash their instruments after the set, but it's their m.o. which makes it a little lame if it's something they always do. maybe i caught them on a bad day or maybe their recordings are better than their live shows.

Good band. The instrument smashing thing doesn't do it for me but, whether it's habit, pressure, or whatever, if they want to do it and can still make a living then good for them. We've played with them a few times and they stick to breaking their own stuff... ...top chaps.

I saw them a couple years ago at the Henry Fonda in LA and they were fucking amazing. One of the best shows I've ever seen... Mogwai opened, too.

I picked up their new cd recently and love it!!!
the older stuff is a little different but still good.
I thought smashing instuments died when kurt did? what a huge waste... it would be a lot cooler to give it to a fan

I finally got it. The 'trail of the dead' is the broken instruments. I take it back. Still boring, though.
