Wiley, Kano...
There's a slew more in the crew that Dizzie Rascal came from.
I'd know more names if I were from the UK or actually if I googled it.
But, really, who has time to erradicate ignorance?

But that begs the questions to whether either of them are even hip hop, I believe the correct genre for Dizzee is Grime and The Streets tend to fall into the category of UK Garage.... wink

If there are only a few rappers there, you are lucky!

In the US they play that shit on the radio all the time and it is quite awful. About 95% or more of it is absolutely horrible. I can't believe people actually buy this stuff and listen to it voluntarily.

I seriously doubt you know enough about hip hop to say 95% of it is horrible. the ish you hear on the radio (in fuckin OK at that) is just a sliver of hip hop.

how about us "people" who buy it and listen to it voluntarily do so because it speaks to us or our particular situation. cause we like the beats, the lyrics. why the hell do you listen to dwight yoakam?

Dude, I was making a joke at the expense of my own unwillingness to do any research before pretending to be an authority on music I don't know that much about.
Geez.

KILA KELA!!!

Makes Rahzel look like an ameteur – the best human beatbox i've ever seen, and i've seen him six times over three years, so he's consistent too.

Saw him play Circus on Sat in Liverpool, MCing with Johnny One Move, absolutely phenomenal – British Hip Hop is alive and kicking!

he doesn't count because he's not actually human... some kind of insane beat robot sent to destroy us.

and yeah, everyone loves to knock the streets. i like that mike guy, but then again i also like buck, frontalot, and other pasty nerds that usually end up stuck in the second class hip hop category.

one reason for people perceiving a paucity (whee) of uk mc's is because they don't just rap over one of a possible three beats. i likey the gangsta + jungle. makes you want to stomp things and breathe fire.

i think the reason that i personally knock the streets is that i require more from my mc than the blasse reading of a takeaway menu over top of an amiga bass line.
