Hum is one of my favorite bands and can never find anyone who loves them as much as I do. I don't understand why that is considering how amazing they were.
Matt Talbot's newer band Centaur isn't far off either.
Is anyone else all about Hum or am I alone?

I LOVE Hum.

I saw them and the Toadies open for Bush (don't ask) in 1996 and was just blown away. That record they put out (I forget what the name was because it's been stolen from me several times and I never find it in record stores) was just so cool. "I Hate it Too" is one of my favorite songs of all time.

They played the club I ran back in CA and were fucking amazing. I haven't heard the record that everyone says is so incredible, and sorta feel like a schmuck about it.

I thought You'd Prefer an Astronaut had it's moments, but was otherwise unspectacular. It's been about 10 years since I've heard it though.

I am all about the Hum. I also saw them on the tour with Toadies and Bush. What totally sucks ass is that at the time I didn't know much about Hum or Toadies and went for Bush. Now all these years later, Toadies and Hum are two of my favorite bands and I could give a rat's ass about Bush. I really wish I was more into the former two at the time because I never got to see them again.

Downward Is Heavenward is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Besides that, all I've heard is "Stars." I really need to listen to their other songs, but just haven't found the time. Anyhow, I love them. I need to check this Centuar out!
