I still think you can't go wrong with Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas." Always makes me want to dance like a poorly animated Peanuts character.

And then there's that crazy new Bob Dylan Christmas album... Has anyone else heard this thing? Raspy, raspy, raspy. Honestly, I can't decide yet whether I think it's brilliant or total crap. Everyone should at leas take a look at the "Must Be Santa" video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVs6X9yIM_k

And of course The Pogues and Low and The Pretenders' "2000 Miles" and Tiny Tim's "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"...

I not sure if this is any good but how often do you see Siouxsie sing a christmas song in French? This was a b side of the Melt single, I think.

Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" (or most any old English carol) gives the traditional touch, The Pretenders "2000 Miles" for a more modern lick, and Captain Beefheart and The Magic Band's "There Ain't No Santa Claus on the Evening Stage" when a darker mood prevails.

I Wish it Was Christmas Today, anyone remember it from SNL a few years back? Actually I thought that one was just a funny "haha look at Tracy Morgan dance" sort of thing, but Jimmy Fallon re-did it a couple days ago with Julian Casablancas and now it's pretty awesome, instead of silly.

I won't Be Home For Christmas - Blink 182 (Back when they were good)

I'll second the Vandals Christmas album. Who doesn't love the timeless "Christmas Time for my Penis" or "My First Christmas as A Woman?"
