Ever since I changed my clocks a few weeks back I've been on this "Fall Music" kick. I go through this every year without fail. This year I was gonna make an effort to fight it but I can't. It's like it's out of my control.
In the sunny months I tend to play more fun, garage, poppy, loud, music that you can go pogo to. Now I prefer to turn my heat up, turn the lights down, and put on stuff that I can mope around to. I mean mope in the nicest was possible way of course. J
When I was younger I used to call this the Pearl Jam time of the year, but now that I listen to so many different artists I just refer to it as winter music.
Here are a few key records that have been creeping their way in to rotation of late:
Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker
Leonard Cohen - Greatest Hits (1975)
Doves - Lost Souls
Bright Eyes - Lifted or The Story...
Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights
Coldplay - Parachutes
Elbow - Alseep in the Back
Grandaddy - Sophtware Slump
Boards of Canada
Belle And Sebastian - Any
Elliott Smith - Any
Sigur Ros
Low Things We Lost In the Fire
Portishead - Dummy
Bjork - Any
Sarah McLaughlan Older Stuff
Nataile Merchant - Any
Nick Drake - Any
Lali Puna - Trirecorder
That about covers the last two weeks or so.
Enough about me alreay, how about you fine people?
