EVERY time I hear a band/person perform on TV I assume that they are pre recorded.

I'm still wondering... if anyone here were handed Ashlee Simpson's fame and record contract and performances on SNL and the RMAs, would you turn it down because you hadn't "payed your dues"?* "No, no, no sir, I have too much integrity for that. You can take your million dollars and your agent and your recording studio and shove it, you hear me? Come back and see me after I've played the small club and coffee house circuit for five years."

*This is, of course, assuming you would like to be famous in the first place.

She did have this problem in her TV show. I just saw a clip about it on the morning news. She went to the doctor and everything. wink

Bingo. For the right amount of money...I'd sell my integrity and be part of a pop band. Then, when a legion of critics & knowitall wannabes flood my website with wishes of my demise...I'll cry all over my bank statement. I'll take a giant crap in my platinum, diamond encrusted toilet and wipe my ass with your pathetic little paychecks.

Fuck Ashley Simpson. She's an untalented hack riding her equally untalented sister's coat tails.

Why does everyone use "whore" to refer to female celebrities they don't like?

People use it for all celebrities and anyone who "whores" themselves out. You just choose to get offended when the reference is to a female.

True, I called Curt Schilling a "media whore" numerous times in the last week. He's a mighty man. Don't think so he'll tell ya!

Face it, you lost this one. When Reprobate & I actually agree on an issue that you disagree with...it's just sad to see you fight it. Take this one on the chin like a big boy and regroup for the next round. You can do it, champ.

Anyone who gives you hell for saying that Billy/Smashing Pumpkins sound terrible live has no sense of hearing. I'm a big fan, but he's a studio act.

hmm... maybe because they don't like them...

I call female celebrities I don't like whores, but I also call male celebrities whores. Oh yeah and the stupid driver on the road, and the annoying person infront of me in a line, the not so annoying person in line in front of me but has alot of stuff, the coffee table when I stub my toe, the doctor because he cut off one of my testicles, the credit card company because they want me to give them money, the garage door for breaking... I can go on with this list forever.

funny shit. Her blaming the band is so fucking lame. I have the pleasure of never hearing one of her songs before, so I can't be sure of this, but from the video it looks like the band actually picks up that it's the wrong song... and starts to play the music to go with the vocals that were played "on accident". All she had to do was sing... but maybe that at that point no one turned on her mic was another "accident". I also like how as she walks off stage the guitar player on the right hits his distortion pedal like "ok, we got rid of her, let's rock!" whatever she looked like a complete ass

if the god damn band is playing live, why lip sync? can't remember the lyrics? you sound like shit? It's not your voice, your just a bimbo milli vanilli?

You know I really thought SG was above this kind of thing,

she's just a KID, sure it was a goofy screw up on TV but nobody deserves this kind of abuse, frankly the comments in this thread and the stuff on her website makes me sick.

who do all you people think you are? seriously? she did'nt blame her band, her publacist probably did, how bad do you think that little girl feels right now?

are any of you famous? on TV? anybody here ever fuck up publically?

hate me, ban me whatever but I am no so sure I want to be a part of a community that talks this way about somebody who makes a stupid unimportant mistake like this, she never "fooled" anybody, never once did I see any mention in that show that the music was being played live,

and you think it's just her that has her vocals doctored in the studio? please, every band does, EVERY SINGLE ONE.

this thread is the most depressing and sick thing I've seen in a long long time,

why don't you find a murderer or a rapist to talk shit about, that would be a better use of your time really.

and for the record I have no idea who this kid is, I don't know her music (or the music she gets written or given to her to perform) does nobody here have anything better to do?

feel free to flame me, frankly after reading most of this stuff I'd expect it..

I just can't believe some of the comments in here, I really can't.

you're right. we're really immature.

BUT IT WAS FUCKING HILARIOUS! HAHAHAHHA!

yeah, it's sad that SNL has sunk to the point where they have to sabotage the poor kid "musical" guest to entertain the audience... she was blameless, we should all feel sooo ashamed biggrin

and acid reflux? funny, I just listen to one of her songs for the first time and I got a little acid reflux myself puke
