Rites of Spring. I first heard them in 1985 and I still listen to them to this day. One of the best bands ever and the namessake of the unfortunate moniker "emocore". If you ask me, alot of this stuff they are calling emocore doesn't even touch the Rites of Spring.
-drink deep, it's just a taste and it might not come this way again.

FUGAZI my one true love.
After almost being crushed in the front row of their last show here, they stopped playing, asked if I was okay, and threatened to stop the show if people didn't stop being dumbasses. They are my heroes. hehe
But yeah, Fugazi anytime.

I remember years ago when people would listen to crap lick Severin and High Back Chairs just because they were on Dischord.

I was never a fan of the later Dischord. So my list reflects that:

Minor Threat, Faith, Void, Embrace, ROS, SOA, Teen Idles, Embrace, Fugazi....

i can't believe no one has mentioned Jawbox.

but, yeah. dischord has been nothing if not consistent. i'm loving the Q + Not U right now, as well. I like the new one, Different Damage, even if it's a little different from the debut.

NOU yeah! yeah! classic. always be a fave.

i think when I'm 45 and Fugazi are 60 I'll still be sending my $9 ppd to Dischord for their records. (And i've got 3 turntables now, so even in 2030 when there's no one left to fix 'em, i have back-ups.)

Totally. I have been since '85 and will as long as they are kicking.

Fugazi; being the great combo of ROS and minor threat (+) and being the one band that has stayed the test of time and grown with me from the start is my all time favorite.

I have been waiting impatiently ALL WEEK for my 20 YEARS OF DISCHORD to arrive.
