a song that reminds you of someone or something so heartfelt that it made you weep?

When my little brother was in the hospital I heard Our Lady Peace's song Thief on the radio. I just about started crying in the middle of the mall.

Cyndi Lauper's "Time after Time" almost used to make me cry, but only almost.

death cab for cutie's "tiny vessels" just about kills me whenever i hear it

NIN "A warm place" when it was fresh.

"Just like you" by Roxy Music when it was meaningful.

And "Good Morning Captain" by Slint always. Everytime. When I get to listen without distraction.

My brother's favorite movie was Jerry Maguire around the time he died, years ago. So now, every time I hear Springsteen's Secret Garden, I get a little misty. Used to be worse...

mines 'You're My Best Friend' by queen..it reminds me of my ex....

Whenever I hear "Let it be", I get a little teary. Just writing it gives me shivers.

Hold On by Good Charlotte made me cry when I heard it while seeing the video.
Also that Major Tom song, or whatever, about the guy who goes into space and dies. I haven't heard that for a long time though.
And songs from the soundtrack of Hedwig, mostly just the Origin of Love, can make me cry if I am in an emotionaly unsound state of mind.

Hm. I've never cried because of a song. I've come close a couple times. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' "Into My Arms" isn't too far off (scroll about halfway down the page for links to a video). And "I'm Still Here" from Tom Wait's album Alice comes very, very close.

I'm more of a pansie when it comes to movies and books. Like, Where the Red Fern Grows. Fuck me, I reread that when I was in high school thinking I'd be able to deal with it. I sobbed like a goddamn baby at the end. Still.

Damn there are way too many songs that send me into tears... I'm a softie.
